This totally changed how I view “symbolism” in the temple! Instead of “getting it right”, I just started to believe that I could have the Spirit teach me what I need to know. Now don’t misinterpret here— there are some clear, intentional uses of symbolism (and I think recent adjustments in the temple have made a HUGE impact in pointing these out and it is AMAZING). But at the end of the day, feeling like I wasn’t “smart enough” to “get it” wasn’t helping me out. Feeling empowered that I can pond
