NASA's Artemis program aims to return humans to the moon, which is seen as a stepping stone for future missions to Mars.

The Artemis II crew are preparing for their historic flyby of the Moon on day six of the mission.

Their roughly six-hour lunar flyby promises views of the moon’s far side that were too dark or too difficult to see by the 24 Apollo astronauts who preceded them.
